Its been long time now. I was not able to update my blog for quite sometime as i was busy with my office schedule.
I was able to grab a copy of Cheenikum soundtrack which means sugar less.
Cheenikum, another old man love story after nishabd starring the Big B and TaBu which is going to hit the screen this week.
The songs of this film are already raving in leading music channels.
The Music for the film, scored by Maestro Ilayaraja.
Ilayaraja had used four of his popular tamil film tunes for this film.
Being ilayaraja and Shreya ghoshal fan, it is double bonanza for me to listen to the music tracks of this film.
The film has five songs and two melody instrumental bits. Out of which one song is repeated.
1. Cheeni kum – shreya ghoshal
My favourit singer shreya ghoshal had sung this song beautifully and it is pleasant to hear her voice again and again.
2. Baatein hawa hai – shreya ghoshal and amitabh bachan
Another slow melody from shreya ghoshal which is treat to listen with dialogues of Big B in between.
3. Jaane do na – shreya ghoshal
Shreya ghoshal has sung this song superbly.
4. Sooni sooni – vijay prakash
This song is the male version of Cheenikum sung by Shreya Ghoshal. After listening to Vijay prakash’s voice I thought it would have been a delight if ilayaraja would have used S.P.Balasubramaniam for this song.
Recommendation – CD
PUNCHLINE : Cheenikum – TASTE JAADHA !
For Tamil Viewers / Listeners :
1. Cheenikum song sung by Shreya Ghoshal is inspired by Mandram Vantha Thendralukku song sung by S.P.Balasubramaniam for the film Mouna Raagam.
2. Baatein hawa hai song sung by shreya ghoshal is inspired by tamil song “kuzhal oothum kannanuku kuyil paadum paatu kaetkutho, koo koo” from Mella Thiranthadhu Kadhavu, the film, which music was jointly composed by Mellisai Mannar M.S.Viswanathan and Maestro Ilayaraja.
3. Jaane do na song sung by shreya ghoshal is inspired by tamil song “ Vizhiyilae" song from the film Nooravathu NaaL. Indha vizhiyilae song, enakku romba pidikkum. It was scintillating to hear the same tune with my favourit singer shreya singing the tunes.
4. Sooni sooni song sung by Vijay Prakash is the male hindi version of Mandram Vantha Thendralukku song sung by S.P.Balasubramaniam for the film Mouna Raagam. Though his voice looks rusty, I would say he has not spoiled the original version.
