Shooting for ELK Productions Antony’s ‘Pulivarudhu’ directed by G.V.Kumar is currently on.
Kumar, who has worked with directors such as Maharajan, Thirupathisamy (he was the writer for the film ‘Narasimha’) and Vincent Selva, makes his debut with ‘Pulivarudhu.’
‘The crew is ready to move to Pollachi,’ says Kumar after leaving instructions with cinematographer C. Rajasekharan. “My hero believes in dreams. Whatever he dreams of come true,” he begins to outline the story. “So when a beautiful girl appears in his dreams he asks his parents to arrange the marriage. This is done and the girl with her parents comes to Chennai, where she stays in the hero’s house.
The hero ‘Jithan’ Ramesh is happy about the way the film is shaping up.
“The film has enchanting visuals, beautiful songs and an interesting screenplay with a twist. All of us are working hard to make it an enjoyable film,” he says.
“I feel that script has the necessary ingredients to make it a hit. Not only the director but all of us are working hard to make it a success,” says Mallika Kapoor.
Curiosity aroused you want to know what the twist Ramesh is talking about. “To every body’s shock, the hero refuses to marry the girl and this is where the story actually picks up,” explains the director, who is also in charge of the story, dialogue and screenplay.
As the film and its story are based in Tamil Nadu the director does not think a foreign jaunt is necessary.
The cast includes Karunas, Manivannan, Saranya, Livingston and Santhana Barathi.
Srikanth Deva has scored the music while editing is done by Raja Mohammed.
