A television serial on the life and times of three-time national table tennis champion V. Chandrasekar will be telecast on Jaya TV in June every Sunday.
Titled Chandra — A(Si)rai En 306
the room number of the hospital where Chandrasekar suffered due to a botched up surgery. The shooting of the serial will begin next month. The serial will cover everything — Chandra’s childhood, the best of his playing days and of course his battle with the hospital in the court, which he eventually won.
“It’s a true life story of Chandra consisting of 26 episodes. We have only dramatised it. No doubt, it will be an inspirational story. The will to fight against adverse situations and stay optimistic, I see it in Chandra’s life,” said Haricharan, the director of the serial. Three actors will play the character of Chandra as a kid, teenager and the champion.
