Siva Manasula Sakthi - Audio Review

Yuvan movies are lined up for audio releases now. Kungama poovum Konjum puravum already hit the stands. The latest and next on line is Siva Manasula Sakthi. I chose this still because I could see Siva, Siva Manasu and Sakthi :-) in Siva Manasula Sakthi shortly SMS.

All the songs are penned by Na.Muthukumar and music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

MGR illeenga – sung by Harichandran & Group

This song has peppy rhythmic beats and catchy words. Good use of guitar. The tune at Daddy solla maatomae, mummy solla maatomae is really enjoyable. I have a doubt. This Harichandran is new singer or this is sung by haricharan. CD jacket carries the name as Harichandran. Whoever it is, song is beautifully sung and presented well. FM channels will decorate this song playing repeatedly.

Oru adangappidaari – sung by Shankar Mahadevan & Shwetha

On seeing shankar mahadevan I thought this is going to be a folk number. No. it is not. This song has some Arabic feel. As usual shankar mahadevan has sung well. Opening tunes and the in between music between end of the pallavi and opening of first charanam are good. This song will take time to grow in you. Couple of repeated hearings a must. Shwetha has only few lines to sing.

Eppadiyo maatikittaen – sung by Clinton & Nruthya

This song has yuvans stamp. A slow number with peppy tune once again. This song is not two much. But five much :-) A very difficult song to get choreographed by a choreographer :-) Still something is there in this song.

oru kal – sung by Yuvan – watch out the Lyrix at the end!

Another song which has agmark yuvans’ stamp. If you listen to opening tune, you might tend to move away. But after Yuvan renders “oru kal” you are brought back and there is no chance to move away till the end :-) This song is my pick of the album. Violin interludes between first pallavi and first charanam is too good. These kind of songs only yuvan can sing and do justice to it. This song no doubt 100% potential hit number which is gonna rock all channels. Oru kall-il rendu maangai. I mean the same song is sung by Adnan Saami. Double bonanza !

oru kal – sung by Adnan Sami

Chinna kal (yuvan) paadiya paattai, Periya kal (adnan sami) paadi irukkirathu. Different voice. Different Tunes, adds colour to this song. As usual adnan has sung this song well. This song needs nasal singing and adnan and yuvan are the best choices for this song.


thithikkum theeyae – sung by KK & Shwetha

a fast racy number sung stylishly by shwetha and KK. Somehow it looks to me this song is faster version of oru kal :-) other than this nothing much to write about.


oru paarvaiyil sung by Ranjith

This song is like SMS. Short, Musical, & Sweet !
