About Sooriyan Sattak Kalloori

Recently, audio for ‘Sooriyan Satta Kalloori’ was launched. The film is based on a law college and bizarre going on through. It has been revealed that the filmmaker has tried depicting the real terrific incident that shook the City of Chennai in Law College recently.

The audio was launched at Film Chamber where Producer Siva Sakthi Pandian and cast-crew members of the unit were present. Producers Council Rama Narayanan, Actor Radha Ravi, Thanu, Director S.A. Chandrasekar and Music Director Deva were present gracing over the occasion.

With Pawan wielding megaphone for this film, debutants Ghajini and Mitha are on the title cards taking on lead roles.

Siva Sakthi Pandian who earlier churned out films like Vaanmathi, Kadhal Kottai, Kalamellam Kadhal Vaazhga, Kannaedhirae Thondiranal, Kadhale Nimmadhi, Vetri Kodi Kattu, Kadal Pookal, Rama Krishna and many films produces this ‘Sooriyan Satta Kalloori’

The Producer himself has penned the script, while U.K. Senthil Kumar has cranked camera. Music Director Deva has scored music to the lyrics of Kabilan, Bhavan and B. Lenin is the editor. Bhavan has handled screenplay and dialogues.

Song No. : 1

Song : Kalaaikkiraai

Lyrix : Kabilan

Singers : Udit Narayanan / Janani

This song right away appealed me so much. It is no doubt that this song is having srikkanth deva flavour, touch. The specialty of this song is undoubtedly udit narayanan. With his unique voice he has sung this song beautifully. Of course his pronunciation of exact tamizh words is still a long way to go. Some songs are meant only for udit narayanan and this song is one such. Another highlight of this song is lyrix writer kabilan. He has used all simple words and situations which are pretty common for kalaachifying :-). Opening guitar sound is too good to open a song followed by haunting tabla beats. I would be doing injustice if I don’t write about Janani. She has equally kalachified along with Udit Narayanan :-) This song is a potential super hit number which is going to rock all the TV channels in the coming days. I have already heard more than 50 times by now. I will be working on the lyrics of this song. I will post it once I am through with that. Super hit Song Deva Sir. I loved it so much. Melody or Gaana you are undoubtedly an old horse :-)

Song : Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu

Lyrix : Kabilan

Singers : Hariharan & Sadhana Sargam

This song talks about Education & Education Minister. Superbly sung by evergreen Hariharan & Sadhana. The beats are good. Violin & Chorus portions after that first pallavi, good to enjoy. Hariharan & Sadhana are known hit pairs. They have added one more song to their kitty. Hariharan & Sadhana are at their usual best. Another good number to listen.

Song : kaadhal paNNap pORiya

Lyrix : Kabilan

Singers : Deva

Typical Deva number. It is good to hear a gaana number from Deva after a long time. That “baana kaaththaadi naan gaana kooththaadi” sung by Deva is trade mark Deva sample & gaana symbol :-) All I love about deva in gaana number is, all his gaana number will have some melody tune to support. Another superhit enjoyable number if you are a folk / gaana lover ! “baana kaaththaadi naan gaana kooththaadi” & “kaadhal pannap pOriya, kaththu thaaraen vaariya, kaadhal ennum chedi vaLara kaNgal thaanae urea” are good catchy words used by Kabilan with wild imagination :-) The Chorus portion and the music followed immediately before second charanam is too good. Being a gaana lover I really enjoyed thoroughly! This is another song I am listening to it repeatedly. Good number Deva. A song sung by undisputed Gaana King.

Song : masakki masakki

Singers : Nirdhiya

This is a Song with full of western beats aimed at attracting youth. Nirdhiya has peculiar voice and she had sung well. The song looks stylish. Somebody will get a doubt is it the same Deva who tuned “kaadhal pannap pOriya” has tuned this song. Looks like a yuvan’s number :-) This song is totally a different jonre all together. It seems Deva is also enjoying western beat numbers :-) Repeated hearings makes this number more interesting.

Singers : Madurai Chinna ponnu !

Hi guysu, how are youvu, ayyae, Turn your kazhuthu, I open my mouth, Enna paakuthu paar!

This is the opening words. Anybody can guess this is another folk number from Deva. Another catchy words “theeka theeka theekana”. Director Pavan has mixed English and tamizh words cleverly for this song :-) I would say this is Deva’s answer to Vijay Antonys “Naaka Mukka” :-) This song is SUFI kind of GAANA number from Gaana king :-) Forget about what kind of tune madurai chinna ponnu has been offered. She has sung this mesmerizing tune beautifully.

This song is front benchers feast.

All classical, melody mongers don’t even open this song :-)

I liked the mettu and beatu very much !!
