The director, K.R.Udaya Shankar, observed that they were working against the clock to finish shooting and get the film ready for release end of this month or early September.
Commerical Creations’ ‘Vegam’ is the story of a young man who faces various challenges in a day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in a foreign soil. How the young man emerges winner is the base of the story with Nail-biting sequences. “It is a thriller from the first frame to the last. We have packed all the ingredients needed for a film in equal measure to make it a box-office success. For that foreign touch we went to Malaysia,” said Shekher. Udaya Shankar is happy with the way the film has shaped up.
“The producers, S.Ve.Shekhar and Uma Maheswari, have not spared any effort to make this film a hit,” he said. “Ashwin Shekher has worked very hard. It doesn’t look like his maiden attempt. The music by Rajesh Vaidya is really enchanting and director Perarasu has written a song for us and the other songs are written by Gangai Ameran, Piraisoodan and Dr. Krithiya.
The camera is handled by K.S.Selvaraj and editing is by Suresh Ars. Everybody is looking forward to the result,” he added.
Prabhu, S.Ve.Shekhar, Khushboo, Venu Aravind, Sreeman, Mayilsami and ‘Kadhal’ Sukumar are the others playing important roles.
The story and screenplay are by S.Ve.Shekhar with his son and daughters lending their voices for a song.
