Theeratha viLaiyattu piLLai Movie Review

Watched this Vishal Movie yesterday.

After a series of flop movies which I had watched recently (Asal, Naanayam, Aayirathil Oruvan), surprisingly this movie was a big relief to me.

With last two movies failing commercially, Vishal back with a bang this time with this fun filled movie.

Director Thiru has chosen a plot laced with romance, glamour and fun and presented the script with convincing and interesting manner.

Karthik (Vishal), an upper middle class family, likes to have many options in life with whatever he does or buys. And he wants to apply the same policy to select his life partner. He wants to love three girls at a time and select the finest option after interacting with them and selecting the best out of the three.

The way in which Director Thiru connects these three tough ladies characters with Vishal looks interesting. There is not even a single lull moment where we can feel, yes we can relax for some time.

Director Thiru entertains in the first half and puts the second gear in the second half to make it more interesting.

Vishal manages to do justice to his role of a casanova. He emotes well in the funny scenes and also flexes his muscles in a couple of action sequences. The action sequences are fitted in the right places where the story required and it is not just an insertion to show the 6 pack heroism.

The comedy trio of Santhanam, Mayilsami and Sathyan provide laughter throughout.

Neetu stuns with her good looks and impresses with her acting skills. In fact she outsmarts Vishal in many sequences. And she certainly sizzles in the songs. I find this character equally to Neelambari :-) of Padayappa !

Tanushree Dutta looks cute. She would have been shown more in modern outfits than the traditional tamil dhavani, saree costumes.

"Priya" character played by Sarah looks awesum in certain places and plays her character with ease.

India's Best Actor Prakash Raj sizzles in the little cameo he had played. Specially when he visits with his team of rowdies at Vishal's place. Other little cameos played by mouli and vishals mother adds strength to the movie. Especially the one line punch of mouli tickles your rib.

Yuvan Shankar Raja's "En jannal vantha kaatrae" with three different pallavis, rocks the music charts these days. Well done Yuvan. Few others are passable numbers.

Arvind Krishna's cinematography is top class and every scene looks rich.

People must be wondering why Shriya Reddy feature in the picture posted by me in this blog. She is the Co-producer of this movie.

Convincing script with matured & neat presentation have made this movie a potential rib tickling entertainer. I could guage the pulse of the Crowd when most of the situations brings the entire theatre down with laughter.

Hey just go watch it and have lots of fun even if you find some logic is missing. I guarantee it is Thousand times better than Aayirathil Oruvan :-)

Punch Line:

Theeratha ViLaiyattu piLLai- Theeratha Vayitru Vali Thollai

:)

My rating : * * * 1/2 (3.5 out of 5)

I generally dont reply to anonymous comments. Since some XYZ anonymous wants to give some instruction to me. Let me put my view. My blog is for my view. It is not a mandatory or compulsory proposition for anyone to accept whatever views I write. If you dont like anything about this movie better write to the producer of the movie instead of giving any anonymous instructions to me. I choose & watch movies for my pleasure and definitely not for some XYZ anonymous ! First have guts to open out who you are !
